79th Annual Academy Awards Nominations
Published by Kaonashi January 23rd, 2007 in News, Awards.
Well, here’s the list that we’ve all been waiting for. Find your crystal balls, grab a bookee, and start betting!
There don’t seem to be too many surprises. DiCaprio and Whitaker are safely ensconced in their Best Actor nominations; Murphy and Hudson are nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Actress- wait, Mark Wahlberg for Best Supporting Actor??? I loved him in The Departed, but was it really worth the Best Supporting nod? And oh hell, Clint Eastwood’s nominated again. Why do I have a sinking feeling that they’re going to pick him and give Scorsese the shaft one more time? It’s not like they’re going to pick DiCaprio, so why pick Scorsese? Well, I guess we’ll just have to find out when the show airs on February 25th.
And what about you guys? What are your predictions? I admit I can’t really make any since I haven’t seen all the films represented in the nominations.
Here are the nominations for the 2007 Annual Academy Awards, after the jump.

Would you believe that I’ve only seen one of those movies??!!!!! But it was Pirates of the Carribean…..I don’t care what movie it is, if its got Johnny Depp, I have to see it!!!
Tonz- I’ve seen only half these movies myself
My lack of funds don’t allow me to see them all!
