I've been wanting to see that one myself. But, I usually don't worry about what critics say. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what they like or dislike, might not be the same for me.

Thanks for the info though. Nicholas Cage's films are usually good (just 'cause he's in 'em), so I still plan on going to see it.

I'm a little worried about this too. I want it to be good, but have a sinking feeling about it. But I've never listened to critics much anyway. I mean Hannibal Rising is getting horrible reviews but I'm still going to see it tonight.

Dana and Drew- I can understand what you guys mean by not listening to critics. You want to make up your own mind. And yes, of course we all have differing opinions about what kinds of movies we like. At the same time however, critics are there to help the public decide whether or not to spend your hard earned money and spare time on a movie, or if you're better off doing something else.

As for me, I don't pay much attention if just a couple of people say that a certain movie is good or bad. In fact, some are a no-brainer. The trailer for Norbit immediately told me that it sucked and I should stay far, far away. Often times though, if I need a little more guidance, I go to a website like Rotten Tomatoes and look at the combined average of critics' reviews. If say, 85% out of 200 critics are giving a film a positive rating, you can bet that I'll be intrigued to watch it.
