Ever since I watched Shaun of the Dead (review still pending), I’ve become a fan of British comedic duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Imagine my glee when I heard from The Movie Blog that the trailer for their upcoming movie Hot Fuzz is up.
Pegg plays Nicholas Angel, a tough London cop who’s been reassigned to the sleepy, boring little town of Sandford. His new partner is lovable but doltish Danny Butterman (Frost). At first Angel is bored out of his mind in Sandford since there seems to be no crime, but when a series of strange but nasty “accidents” start happening, Angel finally gets the chance to do what he does best.
Hot Fuzz looks like a lot of fun. I don’t know if it’ll be as good as Shaun of the Dead, because that was pure, brilliant genius. Still, I have high hopes for these guys and will definitely be catching Hot Fuzz when it comes out.
