Its a nice idea but I doubt it will stop parents from bringing their kids. When I saw 300 there were three couples with infants, and at least a dozen other children under 12 there. I admit I was one of the underage kids in the R movies, but it was because I had the grace to sneak in after buying a ticket to something else, my parents never said "Lets go to the movies, I hear Predator is a nice family flick"

Andrew- It seems that your parents read the ratings. My parents took us to all sorts of violent movies when I was little. They never read the ratings. Oh yeah, we watched Predator. They rented Silver Bullet and I had nightmares from watching it.

Then there's the parents who took their 5 year old to watch The 40 Year Old Virgin. That kid did nothing but yammer during the movie, and I can only imagine what the parents thought when the lesbian sex scene came up (one of the characters is trapped in a room with a large screen TV showing a porno flick). Mercifully they took the brat out about halfway during the movie.
