Title to National Treasure Sequel Announced at NoFace for Film

Title to National Treasure Sequel Announced

Via Empire News.

The sequel to National Treasure has an official title. It’ll be called National Treasure 2: Nicholas Cage is Sinking His Career With These Movies. All right, all right. I’m just kidding. The real title is National Treasure: The Book of Secrets.

The plot revolves around John Wilkes Booth’s diary, in which he most likely wrote his sweaty little fantasies about killing President Lincoln. Anyway, in 1867, 18 pages of the diary are missing, which I guess peaks Nicholas Cage’s curiosity, or else there wouldn’t be a sequel.

I don’t get why movie studios often do sequels on really stupid movies that didn’t make much in the box office. National Treasure was horrible and boring! Why is Nick Cage wasting his time on this inevitable crap when he could be in a much better film? Has naming his son Kal-El screwed up his brain? I mean, I like the guy, but he can sure pick some stinkers sometimes.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets will come out on December 21, 2007.
